Your instructors (yes, we still taught a dance lesson in those goofy costumes) and hosts for the evening, Sam & Rachel, were inspired by that swinging Rock & Roll Song, "Lil' Red Riding Hood", as well as by the classic tale with that same name. What big eyes I have! I'm no sure what happened to Granny, but surprisingly those wolf feet can sure dance! "Hey Red, aren't those Famous Amos cookies in your basket?"
Pictured above is Evil Nurse Genevieve, burying the hatchet with boyfriend Frank. Unfortunately for him, she buried it in his chest! Other notable costumes included Lorraine's "Witness" (don't worry, no one will recognize you in that flame-red wig and witness protection program t-shirt); Matthew's "German Tourist Boy" (next time, don't forget the lederhosen); the Spiderwoman (Myrna), Santa Claus, the two flamingos, Minnie Mouse (Sandy), the pimpster (Rick), the Swiss Miss, the Mod Couple (Mark & Anita), the French Maid (Bev), Neo from "The Matrix" (Jim), the Cat (Cindy), the kid in PJs (Patrick), the Navy Guy (Jessie), and the Nurse in White (Amy). Making their second consecutive celebrity appearances were Marilyn Monroe (pictured above reproducing several of her classic poses), the Blues Brother (Jim), General Custer (Glenn), and the Reaper. All sorts of masked men & clowns came to dance (the most popular costumes this year), as did many, many other characters, too numerous to mention.
Eckerd college students & alumni were in the house (see pics of the Eckerd girl corner above), as were swingsters Joe & Gina (also pictured above) who three years later were married in June 2006 and had their reception right at the Gulfport Casino!
