Gulfport Casino Swing Night!

Fresh from the South Florida Lindy Exchange the weekend before,
a good number of traveling Lindyphiles hopped in to dance at the
Gulfport Casino on their way to New Orleans' Lindy Gras
the following weekend. How does one get so much time off
work, I asked? The answer -- use that vacation time!
The traveling hoppers joined hundreds of locals for a fun-filled night
of swingin'! Visitors included jazz siren & swing dancer,
Karen Maria Capo (pictured below next to the piano), who wowed
the crowd at last August's Swing Time event with her amazing band
and vocal talent. The crowd danced all the way past midnight,
at which point we stopped the music and gathered everbody together
for some final group shots (see below). --Sam
