Gulfport Casino Swing Night!

Another huge Wednesday Swing Night at the Gulfport Casino! The evening
started around 7pm with an enormously well-attended group swing-dance lesson
(pictures below), taught by Sam & Courtney. We rotated partners every
few seconds around that gigantic dance-floor circle. We even had time
for an intermediate-level move or two at the end; everyone had a lot of fun
with the free-spin-in/back-to-back turn combo! Then it came time to
dance, and people were ready to hit the floor running! Right after
the intermission prize drawing, we danced a quick Big Apple, which was
one of the "Biggest Apples" yet, with the beginners circle (led by Sam)
encompassing nearly half the dance floor! Brendan led the more
experienced Big Apple dancers in a second circle, and you can see some
shots below of dancers truckin' and doing the charleston,
the swingeroo, and even the itch!... just wait 'til we
do those Big Apple workshops in March! There was one group of
folks in the house getting some practice in for their upcoming
February wedding, to be held at the Casino. Overall, it was
a great evening, well attended by dancers of all ages and experience levels.
