Swing Time! at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom
5TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION w/ Swing Design Big Band

Swing Time turned five tonight, so we marked this momentous occasion with a huge
celebration! Hundreds of enthusiastic swingsters came ready to dance & celebrate,
making this one of the biggest & best swing events ever! The Swing Time 5th
Anniversary Celebration featured, all the way from The Netherlands, Swing Design,
Europe's Hottest Big Band! This 22-piece ensemble provided an incredible night
of music and played with such energy that towards the end, they couldn't resist
bringing the music straight to the dancers on the dance floor!
During intermission, 26 lucky individuals competed for $200+ in cash & prizes,
in a fun contest where partners were assigned by luck-of-the-draw.
Congratulations to contest winners Josef & Amanda (1st Place),
Ben & Cassandra (2nd), Roy & Rachel (3rd), and Jon & Joanna (4th).
People enjoyed the 5th Anniversary cake, the Shim Sham, the giant dance lesson,
and the prize giveaways, but most of all, people enjoyed the unparalleled excitement
& energy of the evening, and the fantastic music & dancing! We look forward
to the next five years and continuing, with your support, to bring the world's
foremost swing bands to Tampa Bay and to host what have become not just
Florida's Premier Swing Events, but some of the top swing events anywhere!
