SWING BACK TO THE FUTURE! w/ Freight Train Annie

Swing Back to the Future was one of Swing Time's biggest events ever, with hundreds turning out to the Gulfport Casino for this combination 1950's/1980's theme night.  The band, Freight Train Annie, delivered in a big way, with an energized mix of sock hop dance numbers the first half of the evening, followed by a marathon set of swingin' 1980's favorites the second half of the night... taking us all the way to 1am!  With abundant musical talent, powerful vocals, and huge song repertoire, the band kept a floorful of dancers moving and swinging the entire night!  Photo ops were plentiful, both outside and inside the Gulfport Casino.  (Thanks to Roy & Melissa for bringing their 50's Cadillac and Steve for bringing his 40's Plymouth... as he put it, if you were in high school in the 50's, a 40's car is all you could have afforded.)  Besides a ton of music & dancing, the night also featured Hula Hoop and Moonwalk contests, plus prizes for the best 1950's, 1980's, and hybrid costumes.  Many came decked out in attire from one of the decades, and some even undertook a costume change or quick transformation midway through the evening.  Are those Charleston lines I see?  ...what better way to cut loose, footloose! ...and no 80's night would be complete without zombies and the Thriller dance!  Thanks to Tasha for snapping most of these great pics!  Enjoy!  --Sam
